Cheltenham Gold Cup 2019

Did you know that the first ever Gold Cup at Cheltenham took place in 1818 on Cleeve Hill and was a 3m Flat Race?

The Cheltenham Gold Cup we know today takes place at Prestbury Park on the New Course at Prestubury Park over 22 fences and 3m 2 1/2 furlongs.

This year, the winner will receive the original Gold Cup trophy which has been locked away in a vault since the 1970s.
